South Staffs Fire & Security Ltd offer a supply, installation and maintenance service for all your Fire Extinguisher, Hose Reel and Dry Riser needs

All work is carried out in accordance with the relevant British Standards, by our fully qualified BAFE registered service technicians.

Choosing fire protection from a BAFE Registered Firm ensures that its products and services conform to recognised standards. Where relevant an independent third party certificate of conformance is issued that can be used as part of a statutory defence in law, should the necessity arise.

BS5306 Part3:2009 now includes the commissioning process for new equipment which must be undertaken by a competent person and covers the process from when it is removed from it's original packaging through to when it is positioned in its designated place therefore it is no longer possible to purchase equipment from the internet or a catalogue and put it straight in to service.

DRY RISERS

We can now offer a full in house dry riser maintenance service using our own purpose built appliance.

Remember: The testing and maintenance of both dry and wet risers is the responsibility of the property owners or managing agents.

The Amerex KP system has both LPCB (LPS1223) and UL Approvals

The Zone defence system uses pneumatic detection tubing

Which Extinguisher?

Water - Class A Fires General materials, carpet, curtains, paper, wood etc. - not to be used on electrical equipment or hot oil.

Foam - Class A and B Fires General materials (above) and flammable liquids.

CO2 - Class B and Electrical Fires Electrical Equipment and flammable liquid.

Powder - Class A B C and Electrical Fires - General materials, flammable liquids, flammable gas, Electrical Equipment. Dry powder is not recommended for use in offices, as it causes lots of damage, however, this is ideal for industrial applications as well as the car or kitchen.

Wet Chemical - Class F Fires - Cooking Oil
